Cash For The Holidays

A Salina man took home “Santa’s Stash” Saturday morning, while a Manhattan woman’s Christmas will be a little brighter after she took home the “Sunny Christmas Cash”.

Pat Taylor from Salina won $2,049.86 and Delores Worthington of Manhattan won $1,545.19 Both were among finalists who gathered at Central Mall Salina and at Dick Edwards Hyundai in Manhattan for the grand finale of the two Christmas cash promotions.

“Santa’s Stash” and “Sunny Christmas Cash” were both locked boxes full of cash. The boxes were on display at various locations around the Salina and Manhattan areas.  At each location, guesses of how much money was in the box were taken. The closest guess at each location became a finalist.

At the event Saturday, each finalist had the opportunity to change their guess. Both winners did make changes. Taylor changed his slightly. Worthington’s daughter, who was filling in for her, also made a slight adjustment.

Major sponsors of “Santa’s Stash” included Central Mall Salina, First Bank Kansas, and Salina Media Group Radio Stations Y 93.7, FM 104.9 and News Radio 1150 KSALK.  Dick Edwards Hyundai and Flint Hills Radio stations Sunny 102.5 and Oldies 98.5 made “Sunny Christmas Cash” possible, along with Intrust Bank.
