Wichita police say a woman died when she was hit by a truck while riding her bicycle. The truck driver then left the scene.

Lt. Jose Salcido says the woman, who was in her 30s, was hit from behind and died at the scene Thursday. The woman was riding with another bicyclist in an outer lane when she was hit. The other cyclist was not injured.

Salcido said officers found the driver late Thursday after a citizen followed the truck and told police the tag number and other vital information.

No arrests have been made. The woman’s name was not released.
