Aggravated Battery Brings Two to Jail, Two to Hospital

Two different reported cases in Salina land two people in the hospital, and two to the Saline County Jail.

39-year-old Michael Squires is facing an aggravated battery charge after an incident in mid-December. On December 15, a 40-year-old from south Salina was allegedly pulled to the ground causing a head injury and a cut on the chin by Squires. Squires left the scene prior to police arrival, and was incarcerated yesterday.

Another case yesterday ended with substantial injuries as a 26-year-old sustained knife wounds. Tina Kemp, 46 of Salina, allegedly stabbed the male victim yesterday in the left hand and chest in an East Salina residence.
