A man and woman are both facing charges after an argument turned violent on Friday morning.
Police Captain Mike Sweeney says 26-year-old Clyde Dirton walked into the front lobby of the Salina Law Enforcement Center, bleeding from a stab wound to his chest.
The investigation led police to a house at 316 N. 10th Street, where officers found 28-year-old Angelica Newman.
She told police how Dirton had allegedly tried to strangle her before she stabbed him. Both are now facing charges of aggravated battery and damage to property after each destroyed the other’s cell phone and iPad.
Dirton was treated at Salina Regional Health Center with 8-stitches to close his wound.
The incident happened about 10:15am Friday morning.
