A thief made off with a vehicle in Salina late Thursday afternoon.

According to Salina Police, at about 5:00 PM, a 31-year-old female reported her tan 2008 Chevy 1500, 4 door pick up, bearing KS tag 2867AG, was stolen from the 400 block of Purdue.

The truck has a South High School sticker on the back window. It is believed the vehicle was stolen just prior to contacting police.

A key was left in the vehicle.

Total loss is estimated at $12,000.
