Judith L. Braaten, 73, Minneapolis, met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face on the morning of Thursday, March 26, 2026.  She was born Judith Lynn Christensen on September 19, 1952, in Minneapolis, MN to Ewald and Nola (Eshelman) Christensen.

Judy graduated from High School in Wahpeton, ND; attended Prairie Bible Institute and graduated from North Dakota State School of Science. While at NDSSS she met Larry.

Judy and Larry A. Braaten were married on July 3, 1976. They began married life in the Wahpeton, ND area later moving to the Minneapolis, MN area where they raised their family. Many wonderful years later they moved to Minneapolis, KS.

Larry preceded her in death on May 5, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are her son James Braaten (Sue); daughter Lisa (Braaten) Michelsen; five grandchildren, Sarah Braaten, Eve (Jonah) Rhoades, Alex Braaten, Ella Michelsen, Calen Michelsen; one great-grandson Enzo Rhoades; sister Nancy Christensen; and brother Tim Christensen (Karen).

Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 11, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Memorials may be made to the Morrison House and may be left in care of the funeral home.
