The Salina Area United Way’s popular free tax preparation program which began in February is winding down. Tax season is coming to a close, and so is our VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program.
According to the United Way, the last intake day for free tax preparation is Wednesday, April 8 at the McKenzie Center, 308 W. Elm Street.
Through VITA, IRS-certified volunteers help eligible individuals and families prepare and file their taxes at no cost, ensuring returns are completed accurately and that taxpayers receive the credits and refunds they deserve.
If you still need assistance filing your taxes, don’t wait—this is your final opportunity this season to take advantage of this free service provided through Salina Area United Way and our dedicated volunteers.
