No one was injured after a fire burned a field west of Salina.

According to Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander, volunteer firefighters from Rural Fire District #3 were sent to fight a grass fire on Sunday afternoon around 4:50pm.

Deputies say a witness called in the report on I-70 near milepost #237.

Investigators believe a tire blew out on a passing vehicle and ignited the field.
