A Salina man was arrested after allegedly using a bicycle chain as a weapon.
According to Salina Police, at noon on Wednesday officers responded to a home in the 100 block of North Kansas to the report of a physical disturbance.
Contact was made with a 31-year-old male from Wichita, who had shown up at the location to talk with someone who lived there. The resident, though, did not want to talk.
A second person who lives at the home, identified as 28-year-old Harold Metzger, showed up and allegedly struck the Wichita man with a bicycle chain, and also struck the victim’s windshield with the chain.
Metzger was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on charges which could include:
- Agg battery; Knowingly use deadly weapon
- Criminal Damage to Property; Value Unknown
The victim suffered cuts on his forehead and swelling. He refused medical treatment.
