Vandals Damage Saline County Cemetery

Sometime between the late evening hours of April 19, 2013 and the afternoon of April 21, 2013, several headstones were turned over in the Smolan Cemetery.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is looking for some cemetery vandals.

According to the agency, sometime between the late evening hours of April 19th and the afternoon of April 21st, several headstones were turned over in the Smolan Cemetery located in the 4800 block of South Burma Road.

At least one of the headstones sustained damage in the amount of $214.00. Additional damage is expected to be reported as the headstones are inspected.

The crime is the latest Salina / Saline County Crimestoppers Crime of the Week.
