A Salina woman is stabbed in the neck during a downtown robbery on Thursday.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that a man armed with a knife walked into the Iron Street Coffee Roastery, 119 E. Iron, at 2:55pm and told the female employee to open the cash register.

Police say the suspect stabbed her in the neck before running out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect who remains at large, is described as a black male with a beard who was wearing dark jeans and a puffy coat.

The woman drove herself to the hospital where she was treated for a puncture wound and released.
