Woman Hurt In Crash With Deer

A Lincoln woman was hurt in a single vehicle crash in Ottawa County involving a deer Wednesday night.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Saturn passenger car was east of Tescottt, headed west on K 18 Highway. The driver was unable to avoid hitting a deer that was headed north across the road.

The driver was not hurt, but a passenger in the car was. 55-year-old Kathy Lawrence was transported to the hospital in Lincoln.

The crash happened at 7:30 Wednesday night, 2.3 miles east of Tescott on K 18 Highway in Ottawa County.
