A Manhattan woman is transported to the hospital for stitches after her boyfriend allegedly beat her.

Police arrested 26-year-old Jacob Pruitt of Overland Park, Kansas on Wednesday night after a 48-year-old woman told officers that he attacked her while the two were staying at the Econo Lodge, 1846 N. 9th.

Police say the woman ran for help and entered the nearby Bosselman Travel Center with a cut on her forehead.

She received medical treatment at Salina Regional Health Center for her injuries including several stitches on her head.
