Woman Says Hearing Damaged in Attack

Salina Police are investigating after a woman reported she was beaten by her boyfriend.

Captain Chris Trocheck tells KSAL News that the woman, who is in her 20’s, told officers she has inner ear damage after being hit by a known suspect during two incidents that took place in late February and March.

The woman alleges the man who is in his 30’s punched her and pushed her into a washing machine at the Chapel Ridge Apartments.

During another attack, she said he punched her ear while the couple was in a car.

The victim told police a hearing specialist advised her that she has a hole in one of her eardrums.

No arrest has been made.
