A 93-year-old woman has died after a sport utility vehicle struck her in a church parking lot in Manhattan.

A report from Riley County police says Ruby Johnson fell Tuesday and was struck by the SUV’s front tire.

The Manhattan Mercury reports that she was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
