Wind Blows Semi Over

A driver was transported to the hospital after his truck rolled onto its side at the I-135 / I-70 junction west of Salina Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol,  a 1999 Peterbilt semi pulling a trailer was traveling north on I-135.  At exit 95B the driver was exiting to head west on I-70, when the truck and trailer overturned due to strong wind.

The driver, identified as 57-year-old David Strait from Woodburn, Oregon, was transported to Salina Regional Healt Center with possible  injuries. He was properly buckled up.

The crash happened at 4:16 Wednesday afternoon, at the I-135 / I-70 junction west of Salina.
