Weekend Of Snow, Ice, Cold

It won’t be a major winter storm, but a mix of snow, ice, and cold will impact much of Kansas Saturday into Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread snow will develop across the region Saturday and continue into Sunday morning. Generally, 2-5 inches of snow is anticipated, with the highest snow amounts expected across southern Kansas.

Roads will become slick and hazardous for travel.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for all but extreme northwest Kansas through Sunday at noon. A winter weather advisory means that conditions will make travel difficult.
