Walkers Threatened With Gun

Salina Police are investigating an alleged incident where a man and a woman out walking were threatened with a gun.

Police say that a 39-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were walking at around 8:30 Sunday night east on Walnut. Two males riding silver Mopeds on Phillips stopped at the intersection with Walnut.

Allegedly, one of the men pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the walkers. The woman screamed, and the two Mopeds sped off, headed north on Phillips.

The Moped riders are described as two younger black males, in their late teens or early 20s. One is light complected, the other darker complected. One of the was wearing white sunglasses.

The person with the gun was the darker complected of the two, and was wearing jean shorts.

No one was hurt in the incident. If located, the two men on the Mopeds could face charges that include aggravated assault.
