Video a Fresh Look at Kansas

Documentary filmmaker and storyteller Audrey Kalivoda is coming back to Salina with a look at her new project.

Kalivoda will be on hand at the Smoky Hill Museum on Thursday afternoon for her presentation of the making of “Kansas: The Center of it All”

Kalivoda joined in on the KSAL Morning News Wednesday and says the film is a mix of history and travel, “It starts with Paleo times, cow towns, the Indians the trails,” she said.

“With each segment it talks about that period of history but then it also talks about places to go and things to do in conjunction with that history.”

Kalivoda calls Tennessee home now but was born in Kansas and also attended Marymount College before moving south.

Kalivoda produces travel/history documentaries as the studio owner of Mesquite 90 Productions. After her presentation, she will be on hand to sign copies of her documentary.

This free presentation is offered at the Smoky Hill Museum on Thursday, April 3, 5:30-6:30 pm.
