Vehicle Damaged by Gunfire

Salina Police are investigating after shots are fired at three different locations.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that officers were called to the 200 block of S. Phillips on Thursday night at 9:33pm after neighbors heard gunfire.

Police found 4 shell casings from a high powered handgun, but no damage to property.

Hours later at 3am Friday morning, officers were called to the 400 block of E. Kirwin to the report of shots fired.

Police found 7 shell casings from a high powered handgun and four bullet holes in a 1991 Lincoln Town Car.

Bullets struck the rear of the parked car and damage is listed at $500.

Police are also investigating a window that was damaged by a small caliber bullet or pellet at 321 N. Santa Fe on Thursday night at about 7:43pm. Damage to the glass and blinds is listed at $250.

Captain Sweeney says all three incidents could possibly be related.
