Vandals Smash Windows

Salina Police are investigating a number of windows and windshields broken by vandals on Thursday.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, windshields were smashed with a blunt object sometime between midnight and 6:30am on Thursday.

Police say the windshield on a Ford F150 was broken in the 600 block of Duvall causing $500 in damage while the back glass on a 1998 Mercury Sable was smashed in the 600 block of Montrose causing $500 in damage. Vandals broke the windshield on a 1999 Isuzu Amigo that was parked in the 600 block of N. 9th, estimated damage is $500.

Police say vandals caused $50 in damage, breaking the glass on a 24” x 24″ window on a house in the 700 block of W. Crawford.

A 2-foot by 3-foot window was also smashed on a home in the 600 block of Morrison during the same time frame causing $300 damage.
