USD 305 Ready for Public Q&A

USD 305 Superintendent Bill Hall is inviting the public to a community meeting tonight at Salina South High School.

Hall, now in his third year at the helm of Salina schools, stopped into the KSAL Morning News Thursday with a look at some of the challenges that lie ahead for the district.

“We have some structural issues at South High, we have some renovations that are necessary at Central High,” he said.

Hall tells KSAL News that the USD 305 School Board spent about a year developing the seven primary needs of the district. “Now we’re engaged in this process involving the community where we are sharing that information with them and getting input from the community as far as how best to proceed.”

Hall pointed to all-day kindergarten, career tech ed, school safety and security and additional space for students with special needs as other issues that face USD 305 in the coming years.

The community meeting is tonight at Salina South High School beginning at 6pm. Facility tours will begin at 5pm.
