Two Hurt In Crash Near Salina

Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover crash north of Salina late Thursday night.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Thomas Austin from Cedar City, Utah, was driving a 2004 Chevy truck, headed north on U.S. 81 Highway in the driving lane. Austin was not paying attention, and veered across the passing lane to the inside shoulder. He over corrected, and the truck rolled into the median.

Austin and a passenger, 21-year-old Mason Husted from Minneapolis, were transported to Salina Regional Health Center. Both were buckled up.

The crash happened just before 9:0 Thursday night,  on U.S. 81 Highway two miles north of Interstate 70.
