TV’s Taken in Rural Burglary

Thieves grab hi-tech items and jewelry from a home west of Salina.

Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary in the 6000 block of West State Street that occurred sometime between 12:35pm and 5:25pm on Tuesday.

Deputies say the homeowner returned to find his garage door open and house ransacked.

Numerous items were stolen including a 60-inch Sony TV, a 42-inch plasma TV, a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, .22 Winchester rifle, Wii gaming console and games plus a computer and jewelry.

Total loss is listed at $5,310.
