Trick-or-Treater’s Candy Stolen

A a bag of candy and cell phone are stolen from a Trick-or-Treater.

Salina Police tell KSAL News that about 8:15pm on Halloween, two girls ages 12 and 13 were walking in the 300 block of W. Republic when they were approached by two older teens.

The girls told police a skinny, white female about 16-or 17-years old, attempted to grab a Trick-or- Treat bag from one of the girls.

The younger girl resisted, then let go of the bag after she was punched in the side.

Police say a Blackberry phone valued at $72 was in the bottom of the candy bag.

The girls also told officers that a chubby, white male about 16-years old tried unsuccessfully to grab the other child’s bag.

Both teens fled on foot.
