Severe thunderstorms dropped tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind Sunday evening.

Storms that fired in Western Kansas strengthened as they moved northeast.

In McPherson County, a tornado touched down. The twister, which touched down after dark, traveled northeast through the county. It narrowly missed the city of McPherson.

There were reports of hail damage, downed power lines, and downed power poles. There were no reports of injuries.
