Area law enforcement officers have your ticket to grill this summer – when you support Kansas Special Olympics at today’s lunch you can also pitch in a donation and pick up a ticket to win a new Traeger Grill.

Investigator Scott Trembley with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office tells KSAL News that this week’s Torch Run event and BBQ lunch are two ways officers team up to raise funds for Salina’s Special Olympics team.

Deputies are grilling up hamburgers, hot dogs and have plates of nachos, beans and cookies for sale – just $5 for all you can eat today to help a special group of athletes.

The BBQ Lunch is Friday at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office from 11am to 2pm.
