Three Hurt In Wednesday Morning Crash

A two-vehicle crash south of Salina Wednesday morning sends three people to the hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Grady Proffitt of Salina was driving a pickup truck east on Mentor Road. He stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Old 81 Highway, then entered into the intersection and hit a car that was headed north.

Proffitt was hurt, as were two people in the car. They are 30-year-old Megan Quint and 3-year-old Tyler Dye, both from Americus. All three were transported to the hospital in Salina.

Troopers say that eveyone involved was buckled up.

The crash happened at 9:15 Wednesday monring four miles south of Salina on Old 81 Highway.
