Threat Prompts Increased Security At Central

A threat has officials increasing security at Salina Central High School.

According to the Salina USD 305 School District, on Wednesday information alleging a general threat was found at Central High School. School officials consulted with Salina police, and will be taking extra precautions.

There will be increased police presence, school walk-throughs, and officials will be monitoring access to the building.

The school will remain open for normal business.

Law enforcement authorities and school officials continue to investigate.

The district notified parents Wednesday evening via phone calls and texts, and posted a message on its web site.
