A thief dashes out of a Salina jewelry store with a diamond ring.

Salina Police are reviewing store security footage from Showcase Diamond Jewelers, 2328 Planet Avenue, after a white, male ran out of the business with a 14-carat white gold ring with a solitaire diamond.

Police say the suspect is 40 to 50-years old, about 5-foot 9-inches tall and was wearing a blue cap, blue jeans and a jean jacket.

Lt. Scott Siemsen tells KSAL News that the suspect spent some time at the counter with a salesperson looking at the ring before running out the door with the merchandise.

The diamond ring is valued at $5,000.

Maybe Salina’s jewelers should start chaining its customers to a fixed object with a 1/2″ chain gang chain and an iron ball. lolol

Maybe if Salina had better law enforcement who would solve cases like this crime would not be occurring like it is. The bigger cities have door activated locks that stops this type of theft.
