Thefts Hit Salina Area Over Holiday Weekend

Two substantial residential thefts and two stolen vehicles in Salina make for an expensive loss for residents.

An iPad was stolen from a home on the 100 block of 12th Street overnight on December 19. The total loss is $1,000. Another theft on the 1200 block of North 7th Street totaled for a loss of $660 where a Playstation 4 and 3 and clothing were stolen on December 21.

Two vehicles were stolen in town as well; a maroon Chrysler 2000 was stolen from 841 1/2 on South 5th Street between December 19-23. The car was a rental from Enterprise in Bel Aire, KS. The loss is valued at $15,000. A 2004 Dodge Stratus was stolen from the 800 block of Willow. The keys were not left in the vehicle and is valued at $2,200.
