A Camaro was stolen from the side of the road while the owner headed back to town for tools.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that Samuel Johannes of Salina pulled his 2010 Chevy Camaro onto the shoulder of I-135 with flat tire, Sunday afternoon at 12:30.

When he returned to mile marker #82 near the Assaria-Falun exit the car was gone.

The silver 2-door Camaro with black stripes is valued at $17,000, with Kansas license plate 492-JUB.
