Thanksgiving, a day to give thanks for the blessings in our lives.

For many Americans however, it’s a day not spent with family and friends but a day spent serving their communities. And for that I say thank you.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses, police officers and firefighters. Thank you to the retail workers getting ready for the holiday season. Employees at gas stations and truck stops making sure we have fuel to get where we are going. Thank you to hotel and restaurant workers for taking care of us when they’d rather be taking care of their own families. Thank you to the farmers and ranchers who still have chores. And most importantly thank you to the soldiers, at home and abroad for the freedoms we have today and every day.
