Teens Hurt In Crash Involving Deer

A pair of 15-year-old boys are hurt in a single vehicle crash involving a deer Monday evening in rural Barton County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 15-year-old Tyler Specht was driving a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer when he swerved to miss a deer. The SUV went into the ditch, and over turned one time.

Specht and a passenger, 15-year-old Cameron Davis, were both injured. They were transported to the hospital in Hoisington.

Troopers say that two teens were not buckled up. Both are from Hoisington.

The crash happened at 5:45 Monday evening two miles east of Hoisington.
