KSAL Staff - August 31, 2015 11:06 am

A teen from Ellsworth was killed in a motorcycle crash near Salina over the weekend.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at around 11:00 Friday night at Airport Road and Water Well Road South of Salina.

Dakota Harr,19, met with a group of motorcyclists at the intersection. When he was leaving, Harr took off at a very high speed.

Harr hit the lid of a water station pump, and lost control of his 2001 Suzuki Hyabusa motorcycle. He was found by witnesses about 600 feet away in a field.

Harr was pronounced dead at the scene.
