Teen Killed in Crash

A teen is killed and two others are hurt in a single vehicle crash.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Garrett Olson of Leonardville was driving a car east on a rural road in Riley County. The car went into a skid, entered a ditch, and struck a rock wall. The vehicle then overturned, ejecting a passenger.

17-year-old Trevor Redding of Randolph was killed in the crash. 17-year-old Lane Howe of Riley was hurt, along with the driver Olson.

Troopers say that no one was buckled up.

The crash happened at 1:30 Saturday morning two miles east of Leonardville in rural Riley County.

Funny how driver education teachers never take these students out on dirt roads to teach them how to drive.
