Salina police arrested Tara McMullen, 32 of Salina, yesterday for an alleged aggravated vehicle burglary.
On August 9th, Mitchell Turpen, 53, was driving his 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, became tired and pulled over to sleep at 848 North Broadway. Before falling asleep, Turpen rolled the windows down. McMullen then allegedly saw the windows rolled down and took a Casio smart phone, a wallet and his drivers license.
When he was awakened in the morning, Turpen realized his wallet and phone had been stolen. Because he had a tracking device on his phone, he was then able to locate the device, which led the police to McMullen.
