Thunderstorms dropping heavy rain and hail rolled though Central Kansas Thursday evening.

In Saline County, up to 2 inches of rain fell in some areas. In the Brookville area, hail up to the size of ping pong balls was reported.

Heavier rain fell to the east. There were reports of flash flooding in Junction City prompting water rescues.

Storms dropped heavy rain in Abilene, and also brought with them strong wind. There were reports of tree limbs and power lines down throughout town.

The heavy rain prompted flood warnings for multiple counties in Central Kansas.

After the storms roll out the area Thursday evening, several dry days are expected, through early next week.

Are we still conserving water in Salina? If so fire the person in charge.

Zip it Iggy…everyone else in town that gets their news here is tired of your negative comments. You haven’t had a single positive things to say about anyone or anything since it started…..what’s your problem anyhow? If it’s really that bad here….MOVE!

BTW…..everyone else also knows that the water watch is no longer in effect. How is it, that you, who knows EVERYthing, doesn’t know that?
