Stiefel Ready For Two Holiday Shows

The Salina Stiefel Theatre is in the spirit of the season, with two big holiday shows this month.

The first is this Saturday, featuring country superstar Trace Adkins. A few days later, on December 16th, Grammy Award winning singer and song writer Michael McDonald will perform a holiday show.

Trace Adkins will bring the Christmas Show 2014 Tour featuring his twelve-piece “Sarepta Symphony”. According to the Stiefel, show is a reverent, family-friendly theatrical production, featuring songs from Adkins’ Celtic Christmas album, The King’s Gift. The show combines fireside story-telling with performances of classic carols. Adkins’ historical and humorous narration, loving delivery of time-honored Christmas classics and the lush instrumentation make for a truly special holiday event.

Michael McDonald, perhaps best known for being the lead singer of the Doobie Brothers, will perform not only holiday songs but also his hits. McDonald has experienced success as part of the iconic Doobie Brothers, and on his own. From 70s-era Doobie Brothers classics such as “What A Fool Believes” and solo hits like “I Keep Forgettin” the five-time Grammy Award winning McDonald is both timeless and ever-evolving.

Tickets are still available for both shows. Only about 200 are left for Saturdays’s Trace Adkins show, with a wider selection available for the Michael McDonald show. To buy direct from the Stiefel stop by the box office M-F, 9-5pm, call 785-827-1998, or to buy online go to ticketmaster.com.
