Stockade to Return in 2017

The Stockade will come back to Salina for another season.
Pecos League commissioner Andrew Dunn announced Thursday the Salina Stockade will play the 2017 season with an increased number of home games. The Stockade has played 15 home games against 43 road games so far in 2016 due to scheduling conflicts at Dean Evans Stadium.
“Salina has been great to our players and the league,” Stockade manager Justin Thompson said in a statement. “The surface at Dean Evans (Stadium) is as good as it gets.”
Despite the unbalanced schedule, the Stockade has a two-game lead on Topeka for the third and final playoff spot in the North Division of the Pecos League. The Stockade plays in Tucson, Ariz., tonight.
