Southeast Splits with Minneapolis

The Southeast of Saline girls rallied in the second half for a 56-46 win over Minneapolis, while the Southeast boys fell victim to a 22-6 third quarter in a 73-63 loss to the Lions on Friday.
In the girls game, the Trojans led 19-16 early, but Minneapolis rallied for a 30-28 halftime lead. In the second half, Southeast retook the lead in the third, outscoring Minneapolis 11-4 to lead 39-34. In the final quarter, Southeast continued to pull away, outscoring the Lions 17-12.
Erica Montgomery led Southeast with 17 points while Calli Calahan had 11 points and Delanie White had 11 as well. Linzy Kaniper added 10 points.
The Trojans are 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the NCAA.
In the boys game, Southeast took a 33-26 lead to the half, but Minneapolis turned the tables in the third quarter. The Lions outscored the Trojans 22-6 in the third to take a 48-39 lead to the fourth quarter, and held on for the 73-63 win.
Jackson Montgomery had 23 points to lead Southeast, while Ben Stutterheim added 17 points and Easton Montgomery had 13.
The Trojans drop to 5-2, 1-2 in the NCAA.
