Southeast Cross Country Second, Third at NCAA Meet

The Southeast of Saline girls cross country team was second and the boys were third at Thursday’s North Central Activities Association meet, held in conjunction with the Lakeside Invitational at Downs.

For the girls, Allison Stutterheim won the NCAA individual championship in 16:30. Stutterheim finished second overall in the Lakeside Invitational. Madison Keim was fourth in 17:13. Kylee Poague was ninth in 17:43. Jade Yianakopulos was 11th in 17:53. Hannah Henry rounded out the team scoring, placing 16th in 18:11.

The Trojans finished three points behind Sacred Heart for the team championship.

In the boys race, Jackson Montgomery was the top finisher for Southeast, placing sixth in 18:45. Ryan Patrick was ninth in 18:55. Zach Montgomery was 12th in 19:23. Jim Weller was 16th in 19:42. Cody Ptacek wrapped up the team scoring, placing 32nd in 21:21.

The Trojans finished third with 73 points. Sacred Heart won the team championship with 46 points, while RepublicCounty was second with 49 points.
