South Swimmers 2nd, Central 5th at Emporia

Salina South was second and Salina Central was fifth in Thursday’s boys swim meet in Emporia.

Salina South was led by several third place finishes. In the 200-yard medley relay, Colin Truhe, Brendan Borcherding, Zach Kaszycki and Noah Corn were third in 1:57.66.

South also had a third place finish from Kaszycki in the 100 backstroke (1:02.75) and the 400 freestyle relay team of Borcherding, Truhe, Raef Young and Ben Weishaar (3:55.70).

Salina Central was second in the 200 medley relay with a team of Bryan Baker, Noah Hadnot, Peyton Chard and Cade Rosalez. Hadnot was third in the 100 butterfly (1:05.88) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.18).
