South Soccer Falls to Buhler

KSAL Sports - April 11, 2014 6:54 am

The Salina South girls soccer team fell behind early, and couldn’t quite catch Buhler in a 4-2 loss to the Crusaders on Thursday night at Salina Stadium.

Buhler tallied the first two goals of the game, scoring in the 13th and 24th minutes, leading 2-0 at the half.

In the second half, South cut the lead in half when Michelle Franco scored on a penalty kick. However, Buhler regained the two goal lead on an own-goal, and then went up 4-1 in the 70th minute on a penalty kick.

South would score the final goal of the match in the 71st minute when Mikayla Moresco scored in the 71st minute.

The Cougars drop to 1-5 on the season. They visit Andover on Tuesday.
