The Sacred Heart Knights have made the play-offs for the fifth consecutive year with a 35-0 win at Moundridge.

The Sacred Heart Knights have made the play-offs for the fifth consecutive year with a 35-0 win at Moundridge.

The Sacred Heart boys won their opening round substate game against Haven Monday night in Salina 56-42.

The Knights led throughout much of the first quarter until the Wildcats took their first lead of 12-11. Sacred Heart reclaimed the lead late in the period, but a Jamal Rogers three-pointer tied the score 16-16 after the opening eight minutes. The Knights answered by opening the second quarter on a 6-0 run and never looked back. Sacred Heart led 29-23 at halftime.

Each team scored nine third quarter points as Sacred Heart maintained a six point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Knights made free throws down the stretch to extend their lead and go on for a 14-point win.

Tate Richards led Sacred Heart with 15 points and Jerod Toogood added 12 points.

The Sacred Heart boys will face Southeast of Saline in the substate semifinals at Marion Thursday night at 6pm.
