KWU Volleyball Goes 2-2 at Avila

The Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team split its four matches at the Avila University Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Kansas City, Mo.
Wesleyan played Stephens (Mo.) first on Friday, defeating the Stars 25-6, 32-34, 25-15, 25-10. The Coyotes then played Peru State (Neb.) and lost to the Bobcats in straight sets 16-25, 17-25, 21-25.
On Saturday, the Coyotes rebounded with a straight set win over Benedictine-Springfield (Ill.) 25-14, 25-13, 25-15. Wesleyan then lost the final match of the tournament 16-25, 16-25, 24-26 to Oklahoma City University.
With the split, the Coyotes are now 6-7 overall and 1-0 in the KCAC. Wesleyan travels to Sterling on Wednesday to take on the Warriors, before hosting the LaQuinta-KWU Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Mabee Arena.
