The Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team has announced the signing of Cassidy Roosen to a letter of intent to join the Coyotes next season. She is the third highly touted recruit for head coach Fred Aubuchon‘s team next season, joining Michaela Braun and Kelsey Plummer in the incoming freshman class.
Roosen, a 5-2 defensive specialist, will come to Kansas Wesleyan from South High School in Torrance, Calif., where she plays for coach Robert Kutsch.
She attended the KWU Elite camp this June. Before that, Aubuchon found her through a recruiting agency. “When I watched her skills video, I knew she was what we needed in our program,” he said. “When she flew out for the Elite camp, I was convinced that she was the right character for our program as well.”
Roosen’s plans are to major in Physical Therapy next year and is very excited about getting started at KWU. “Deciding to attend KWU was an easy decision,” she said. “KWU has everything I am looking for as a student-athlete: high academic standards and an excellent, professional volleyball program. The school is beautiful, the people of Salina are so friendly and the coaching staff and the girls on the volleyball team are just amazing. I can’t wait to start playing volleyball with KWU and contribute to the team in any way possible!”
