The third quarter scoring output was identical to the first quarter as Sacred Heart outscored Russell 5-4 to make the score 21-14 going into the final quarter. The Lady Knights closed the gap to as little as five points at 26-21, but Russell held on for an eight point win.

Two Russell free throws early in the second quarter stopped the run and made the score 21-4. The Knights scored another 23 points and led 44-17 at halftime.
Sacred Heart was ahead 62-24 after three quarters, and with a continuously running clock and all starters on the bench, each team scored six fourth quarter points as the Knights went on for a 38-point blowout win.
