Jayhawks Look To End Road Losing Streak

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) – Kansas will be out to end a 19 game road losing streak when it visits Rice Saturday.
That’s being generous, too. The number is 22 straight when neutral site games are factored in. The Jayhawks haven’t won on the road since beating UTEP on September 12, 2009.
Coach Charlie Weis said Tuesday that he “could care less about any games before I was here,” so from his standpoint the Jayhawks have lost six straight heading into Saturday.
Among them last season were close calls against Northern Illinois and Texas Tech, and blowout defeats against Kansas State and Oklahoma. All losses count the same though, and Weis said it’s time to end the losing streak.
