Ell-Saline Softball Rolls by Hutch Trinity

The Ell-Saline softball team continues to cruise, moving to 12-0 with 7-0 and 12-2 wins over Hutchinson Trinity on Tuesday in Brookville.

In game one, the Cardinals scored in six of seven innings to pick up the 7-0 win. Danielle Sprinkle gave up just three hits to go along with seven strikeouts and five walks to get the win. Sprinkle also had a pair of hits, along with Madison Schuman, Alleigh Weems and Sesely Omli.

In game two, the Cardinals led 5-2 after the top of the fifth, but then erupted for four runs in the bottom of the fifth, and ended the game by run-rule in the sixth with three more runs. Schuman was the winner for Ell-Saline. Baleigh Griffin had three hits to pace the offense. Weems, Ashlyn Bird, Sesely Omli and Sydney Omli all had two hits.

The Cardinals are 12-0 and visit Lincoln on Thursday.
